Contrail eclipse

Me and Martha were out shooting pics the other night and caught this jet flying by high above the clouds with its shadow down on the tops of the clouds.





Almost immediately we started to notice the two shadows moving closer together as the moon orbited the Earth.





All 3 in almost perfect alignment.




Then they started moving away from each other. You can't see the contrail very much as it started to get cloudy but it's shadow is still clearly visible. Whole precess took about 10 minutes.




Once we got to the top, I got this cool one of the observatory, but the shadow pics were definitely the highlight of the night.
